WELL. Danish Melodi Grand Prix is over. We got our winner and the one who’ll represent us at the Eurovision in May. What I think?
Sorry. Forgive us, Europe. Our entry was voted in by our 12-17 year old girls. We could not fight them, sadly. We will have the “Omg he’s so hot, but can’t sing, but whatever ‘cause he’s hot!” dude.
I really hate it when contests are won this way. When it’s the hot boy or the sexy girl that wins. Not because of their song, but because of their looks. Really now. Really? Are nobody listening to songs anymore? It’s enough just to have a pretty face?
It was clearly not the best artistic song. He won on his pretty face and not his song. I can clearly see we’re a majority who thinks this way and still would prefer to have an actual GOOD song represent us. This will be the first time in many years I’ll be ashamed when our entry goes live on the Eurovision Stage. This is not host country worthy. Really annoyed that we do not have to go semifinals this time, so we could get this song out and not waste a spot in the finals on this. Forgive us, Europe. We failed you.
Now to look at the BRIGHT side of this horror story. We will not have to worry about using tax money for being next year. There was definitely better songs and clearly more worthy winners. Nothing bad against Basim. He’s sure a wonderful guy and all, but his song was not winner worthy. I give it to him, it was kinda catchy, but NOT winner worthy. We might be lucky the other teenagers girls all over Europe likes to vote on pretty boy dudes too instead of the actual good songs.
